How far would you go to do the right thing?

Have you ever gone out of your way to do the right thing? Did you return the change the clerk gave you by mistake, even though you were already out the door? Did you pick up the cell phone that someone lost and make sure they got it back instead of just leaving it there for another stranger to steal? Would you call the cops on the fighting neighbors, knowing that they were going to be angry with you when it was over, because you could hear a child crying in the apartment? I have had these things small and great face me at different times and I think our choices say alot about who we are. What would you do?

For me as long as it doesn't endanger my life, my family or friends then I would fight for what is right. I had to protect my welfare first before other people. I don't think I will be willing to become a witness of a horrible crime and at the same time would put my families lives in jeopardy.

I agree. Unfortunately, in the world we live in, it is all too common that the person who is trying to do the right thing ends up being the one to get hurt. I do think that if I had witnessed something, I would have to testify just to feel better about what happened.
