I want to learn a programming language, but first want to know which is easiest for beginner and what each type is used for. I already know what HTML is used for but other than that... I am clueless. Any one have some answers?

if you are into some web development than i guess you should learn php. most of the websites these days use php as server side code, php with mysql database is a good combination and its not difficult to learn as well

I started from C language. then C++ also learn java language. HTML is not a pure language. It is just a tagging system. Every language have role in their area. For system programming, C is better. For window application, Java is better. For web development PHP is better.

How about the C programming language? The C is very beautiful for the system software. The Windows operating system is made by C, the Linux operating system is made by C, and the m is Unix operating system is made by C. And C is very simple, very strong, very smart. So learning C is my suggestion, and I think it's good for you to access computer world!
