Did you buy an eyeglass but end up not wearing it?

It just occurred to me that i bought an eyeglass already twice to correct my vision but actually i didn't wear them for a long time. cause one reason is i find it uncomfortable and sometimes i feel that my eyeglass does not really give much difference. though when i tried to test or fit in when i am buying one the eyeglass seems to give me a very eye vision. but when i have it already in my home it seems not that clear as i thought and i thought i may have made a mistake on the choice of my lens. another one it leaves a mark on my nose. which is quite unsightly and another one is i don't feel that i look good wearing an eye glass so i prefer not to wear them mostly when i go out. but before i used to wear them at home though. my left eye does not have a good vision. i should really change or correct my eyeglass but the cost really set me off and make me think twice of having my eye glass corrected.

Same experience like you, friend. But, it's not my own experience but it's my father's experience. I ever bought a pair of eyeglasses for my father, for his reading purpose but seems like he never wanted to wear it at all. When i ask my father why he is not interested to wear them, he told me that it hurt his nose area and he felt very troublesome, had to open and cleanse his eyeglasses, whenever it's too cloudy. So, until now, my father still prefer to read his newspaper without his eyeglasses, as he said it's more convenient to him.

actually cleaning my eyeglasses every day is another task i have to do at home. it needs cleaning like 2 to 3 times a day as it gets cloudy that often. it is quite a hassle but since i need to see clearly i have to clean it often.

I don't really know what causes the eyeglasses clouds easily when we wear it on our eyes. Anyway, it's our duty to wipe it as often as we can, it avoid the cloudy appeared on our eyeglasses. Happy mylotting, my friend....

When you do get new glasses, I would suggest you get frameless glasses with plastic lenses. They are so light you almost forget they're on your face! You can hardly feel them. I need new glasses right now and will be having my eyes examined very soon. I need my glasses and couldn't forget to wear them even if I wanted to. My eyesight is so bad now that I can hardly see a thing without them. I have both near and far vision problems, so I have those Progressive lenses. They are so much better than bifocals! No matter where in the lens you look through, it feels like you have perfect vision. And, with the frameless glasses, it's easy to forget I'm wearing them. They aren't cheap, though. I think I paid around $400.00 for the glasses I'm wearing now. But, it's worth the money to be comfortable and I would gladly be a spokesperson for the Progressive lenses. I was absolutely thrilled when I first got them.

Progressive lenses are for people with both far vision and near vision problems. At the top of the lens, it corrects far vision problems, then gradually changes to correct near vision problems at the bottom of the lens, with no dividing line in the middle like bifocals have. You can look anywhere through the lenses and see perfectly. It's sad to know that eyeglasses, much like visiting the dentist, are just too expensive for most people, especially these days. They are both things that a lot of us need but are so expensive that we have to save up for them, if we can. I last had my eyes checked 2 years ago but I should be doing it every year. We just couldn't afford it last year. Like you, I've been hanging on to my old glasses because they're better than nothing.

i had my glasses made and eyes checked about 9 months ago. i think i will try to check my eyes now yearly just as you said it should. anyways, there are many cheap eyeglasses but though not as comfortable and as good as the more expensive ones.

what is progressive lenses. anyways, you spent such a big amount for your glasses. but i think also it is so worth it. but i may just stick with my old eyeglasses while i still don't have money. but i definitely going to consider it as one of the first things i need to buy when i get the money or have saved enough.

I did that when I was still in college, I got my eyes checked and the doctor said i should wear eyeglasses to correct my vision.. I rarely use it then cause I feel uncomfortable with it.. After a year I felt that my eyes were getting worse and true enough when I got them checked again, the grade of my eyeglass double from last time.. After that I wore my eyeglasses everyday, cause I can't really see well anymore without them.

Lol, that happened to me. I have astigmatism and my eyes are very sensitive to light. I am also nearsighted so I can't recognised people who smile or wave their hands at me across the street lol. I decided to get my eyes checked and ended up being a four eyed girl for a year. I even have bought some fancy glasses :p But then I realised that I didn't like how I look with them. I don't think glasses compliment my face. Not to mention they're uncomfortable. So here I am, with naked eye lol.

yes i think what will make us decide if we will keep up with the eyeglasses is how good they will look on us. if not, no matter how they will improve our sight we find not wearing them any more.

haha yeah that happened to me too!! lol the same reason for not wearing it, coz i feel i'm ugly wearing glasses (well, i hope i'm not offending anyone who do wear glasses coz this opinion is solely for meself:p) but i knew it's kinda dangerous if you have problems with your eyes and u don't go fix them such as wear glasses, lenses or go see the optician. i experienced that it is hard to drive without glasses especially when u don't know the way and u need to read the signboards to help u through. and it is extra-especially hard to drive in the heavy rain!! gosh, whenever it rains and i have to drive, i always scold myself for not being responsible enough to take care for the gift God gave us: sights, to see this beautiful world and all it has to offer. but still, i did misplace my glasses and haven't found it yet. huhu...

No. I buy eyeglasses which I will surely use. Since the eyeglasses are expensive and I change glasses often, I just buy cheap ones to avoid spending so much money on eyeglasses. In most cases, I buy cheap eyeglasses in the department store and then go to the optical to have the lenses changed according to the grade of my eyeglasses. In that way, I can save money. Have a nice day.
