My 1 year old has 4 teeth in 2 more just popped through last week so that makes 6 and her 7th is right there about to break the gum. Im so excited she has more teeth, but goodness teething is not funny. She had to sleep with me everynight through these last 3 teeth,(while she was teething.. afterwards she moved back to her bed until she started to get a new one) She is restless and very cranky. I have been using teething pills, orajel, and giving her motrin for her slight fever.. Am i missing something.. it has to be easier than this. Though my mom says the ones she is getting now are the worst 4 to come in then its all good. I sure hope she is right! Did your baby have any special needs when they were teething? (like my daughter sleeping with me) How did you cope? any good tips?

I know you are heading into winter there but have you tried letting your daughter suck on ice cubes or even a wet face washer? My daughter is 2.5 years old now & she had no probs with the first 8 teeth but she was a little b*tch when she had her molars through...if you can get it over in the States (I'm in Australia), Neurofen for kids works wonders as it has ibuprofen in it & they can take it from 3 months old....my daughter hated pacifiers but she loved hewing on them when she was teething so maybe let her chew on a pacifier...If I can think of anything else,I'll let you know
