Have a question about Combined Payment

As I stated before I do sell on ebay(yes I'm a beginner)but I'm trying to get a better understanding about selling on ebay. I was going through some of the stuff i have posted and i noticed there was an option for combined payment. I read it but not really understandig it. Does anyone who sell on Ebay understand and what the benefits are for you and the buyer? I'm just trying to get a better understanding before I just go head and start signing up for stuff that won't benefit me. This is what its saying: but PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE ME ON IT- ****To offer combined shipping on your listings you need to offer combined payments. After the time period expires buyers will have to check out for each item one at a time and then it gives you time frames and have 30 recommended. I was wondering if they are saying give the customer 30 days to try the bproduct out before they pay you or is it that you give the buyer an option to pay in 2 payments. I hope someone can put a light on this dull question. THANK YOU

Hi hardworkingmom, It is combined shipping that you offer for your customer. If they but more than one item from you you can offer combined postage cost rather than postage cost for each item. Hope that helps

I would add to the above response that one benefit to you is that your customer has an incentive to buy other items that you list if you offer a discount on shipping. Another benefit to you is that when the customer pays by PayPal the amount that PayPal charges you is reduced slightly because PayPal will charge you only one flat fee in addition to the final valuation fee.
