Hi friends, i recently joined a site called odesk, it says that we will be paid for doing different tasks, like translation, data entry, java work, encoding etc, etc. However i'm just curious to know whether anyone here on mylot worked for the site and got paid for doing some jobs there. if so, please let me know. thank you. have a nice day.

hi, i am a member of odesk. but i am not active there. Instead I am active at getafreelancer this is much better higher page rank site than odesk. These are actually freelance sites, where you have to bid on tasks you can accomplish & win, buyer will pay you for your service.Check my profile for getafreelancer banner. Hope this will help you.

I have not signed up with odesk, but from what I can tell from researching, you have to be good to beat the tough competetion in order to get paid a decent amount. Some dissapointed users have written bad reviews of odesk, but that is because those people are not capable of doing the required work.

I haven't started working at oDesk yet but I'm already a member. I've got friends who are working at oDesk and one of them told me that the first task they won was to cut and edit audio files. The client gave her 2 days to finish it and she got paid $84. That's a lot of money, if you ask me. I will soon be active on oDesk after I'm done with the blogs I'm working on. GetAFreelancer, from what I'm told, is better because they get a lot more clients but the problem is that you get a lot of competitors vying for the same task. That's why most people I know prefer oDesk, especially Pinoys like me.
