High S e xual Desire: Nymphomania or P r o s titution?

Nymphomania, an excessive or high s e xual desire. I believe this is a sort of some mental or psychological illness,but being excessively h o r ny has been regarded by society as a form of p r o stitution. A nymphomaniac is also regarded as a h o o ker or a p ro stitute. So what is the difference between a nymphomaniac and a h o oker, then? Is there a possibility that a h o o ker is also a nymphomaniac?

Both appears similar ho*ker and nymphomaniac. They both have high s*x drive and are not easily get satisfied. Have U face any of these persons?

Let me modify. A hooker could be nymphomaniac in some cases. However its vice versa may not be true.

I am more afraid with the nympho rather the hooker since they do also need protection to keep them from getting sick since their body is the asset of how they earn every day living. for the moment i am living with my peaceful boring life, am not gonna do that again i think,hanging out with people with high high s in their every night activities and parties

One the N~ is a technical classification devoid of emotion or excitement for the specialist. The other is like a common name for the world's oldest profession. But when both are combined in one it becomes very complementary. That is like having best of the both worlds.

Hmmm.. that is a very thoughtful position. Do they both "enjoy" being what they are? Perhaps not at all... seems nearer truth! What I was trying to convey was how one could become a whole like a box and its lid.

I guess 1 could be the other, bu it really depends on the person. Just because one is a nymph doesnt mean they are the other, but the possibility is there...

Yup. I also agree with you on that. A hooker need not be a nymph to do her profession nor a nymph need not be a hooker to have high s ex drive.Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Chantal.:-)

I'm not familiar about this illness but I think both are different. I think Nymphomania don't do it for money but to satisfy their need. In the case of a hooker they do it for the sake of money even if they don't want what they are doing. There is a possibility that hooker can be nymphomaniac.

Thanks, Agv.:-) I'm not familiar about this too that's why the reason I've posted this discussion here. Like what I've commonly read here, prosti tution is for the money, with or without the desire for s e x and the nympho is to satiate s e x ual needs, with or without money involve.
I believe this one is very clear to me now.:-)

I believe a nympho could be excessive se*ual desire for one or many men.... When it turns into many men than we have the pros-titute or not..... You know that brings me to something..... When I was with my ex I could live with or without s*x.... I had loss all feelings for that man probably up to 5 years before getting out.... Each year the love was less and less due to the treatment that was bestowed on me.... When I got with my current husband I even told him (before any s*x contact happened) that I could live with or without..... I told him once a month whether I needed it or not.... But then He made love to me with such love and compassion that I was hooked... I wanted more all the time.... He used to chuckle at me "I thought you said you did not need it" I knew with him it was so much different.... Girls they reel you in and then it fades..... My husband and I get so caught up in everyday that we are tired (not me, computer work yeh, right) or sore... You know that is one thing I can not stand of my ex.... He took away all those younger years from me that I could of had with someone that cares and loves me unconditionally.... One thing about it when we do make love it is inspiring and can take my breath away.... so yea I am a nympho for my husband but I would never be a pros-titute.....
