Beans

There is so many ways to make beans I try to make them like the one in the restaraunts and it never comes out right you know the ones that have the tomato and onion in the bowl and sometimes they put bacon in it but I do not like bacon.Does anyone know hoew to make these kind of beans?

I know exactly what you mean. I've never been able to make my beans taste like restraunt beans. They must have some secret ingredient.

I don't know if your refering to baked beans or Mexican beans! I'm an expert at both. I'm living in Mexico and we cook beans all the time. Here they just boil them til you think they are done then add another hour to that! LOL! Don't add anything, do that when you eat them and add what you prefer! tdemex

Hi what part of Mexico are you in?I mean the real Mexican beans.My husband is from Mexico and here with me.We are supposed to go there sometime soon.He is from Guadalajara and when his sisters or family come here to visit they always bring us very nice presents.And always cooking something I just wish I could cook like her I have tried many times and it really did not come out right only sometimes but I wont give up.Thanks for the tip on the beans!!!:)

I'm in Monterrey! They use clay pots here a lot when we cook it's different, but there are 9 of us here on and off! But we have a big canning cooker and they will boil about 5 pounds at a time, and the put a couple of cups of the finished beans with the juice in zip lock bags and freeze up many of those for latter! tdemex

Dang now I am so hungry for beans and homemade tortillas:)Do you prefer Corn or flour tortillas?I love the corn but if they are homemade I like the flour.
