Does age make you more aware of caring for others?

I don't think age determines your awareness of caring for others. I think it depends more on your maturity and how you were raised. I know that my two sons were raised to understand that they needed to respect their elders and help those who could not help themselves. I do know that many teens can be self centered and unaware of the world around them but if they are nutured and shown the right way then they will also learn that the world does nto revolve around them and that they need to be active participants in their community.
