just eat the food? I am thankful for what I have all the time, everyday!! So for me Thanksgiving is a time to get together with family and share the magic of a meal together! Plus the whole fact that the pilgrims subsequently began to steal land from the natives and therefore founding a society that then brought ancestors of mine from their native country and made them slaves doesn't really sound like something I want to celebrate. But knowing that this country goes through many changes, and that we as humans all go through changes in what we believe is moral or not happens and I am thankful for that. I am thanful all the time, and thankful to be free, and thankful for people who want to give their lives for freedom because I know I couldn't fight in a war I'd be a total cry baby. I cry just thinking about all the sadness in the world. So yeah. So do you just eat and hangout on turkey day or do you really take the time to be thankful?

To be honest, we eat and hang out. We do say a prayer, which is odd as about half of my family are atheist or agnostic. I guess its for the ones who believe and the others go along with it for the tradition. But it never fails that after we eat we sit around and talk while the guys watch football. This year I will go off to watch FlashForward that evening, but I do enjoy to see family that I haven't seen in awhile. I can't believe its a week away already! Time to get cooking! lol
