Have a meeting with our community homeowners association this weekend. One topic is about projects that will benefit and improve our community in general. And when it come to projects, it would mean "money". I was wondering if any of you had an experience of raising money for a non-profit projects for the benefit our your community or other similar groups. A fun run would be nice or a lottery or bingo, but we already had done that last year. I wanted to add a new one, would you suggest a good one?

I think car boot sales are good, everyone can win there, the association can charge say $10 a car, the sellers get rid of unwanted stuff and make a little extra money and the buyers can get little treasures...other than that a silent auction can also be good, if you can get companies or people to donate things then let people write their bids down for each item and the highest bidder gets it....
