Good! I know it is just a short time and it is really manageable to separate yourself from your cellphone for a month. So, you can survive the challenge.

I can live without cellphone for 1 month but cannot live without any phone for more then 1 month. I am not that much mobile phone addict, I use phone to communicate important matters only. I hate to chit chat with friends who are near me for long hours. I do not mind chating on mobile with friends who are very far and in the foreign lands. Whatever, I use mobile only when it is very important matter to discuss.. What about you???????????

I can dare to do it because really don't have much transaction using my phone except for emergency purposes. I can still communicate my friends and relatives using the internet like emails, chikka, and yahoo messenger which I usually used when I am in the office.

Hi, rosey19. Yes I can live without my cellphone for an entire month, and even longer than that@! My cellphone has been off since April or May of this year.. So, I know how it feels to have it off. Being that I have a home phone now, I don't really need my cellphone. Just for only when I go out or for emergency purposes. Other than that, I don't think about it. I would love to get it turned back on right about now!

Yes you are correct. Sometimes we tend to depend all our activities tot he cellphone. We forgot to use other aid of communications that are also capable of delivering our message. For me cellphone can be use for special or emergency purposes not as a means of everything.

Why not! If somebody will challenge for a prize. I can really survive without having a cellphone even for a year. hahahaha. Anyway I can still contact my friends and relatives through the internet because there are internet provider like chikka which allows you you to text straight to the mobile of your recipient.

Well that is your point of view and for you it is really part of your life. I will not disagree your opinion because it is really proven that you cannot separate yourself from your cellphone. Or else you cannot update your boyfriend... (lol). Anyway thanks for sharing your idea and perspective.

I am somewhat of an addict, but in my life, it is very much a need and I can't go without it for even one day let alone a month. I don't have a land line so iy id my only phone I use for home and on the road. I don't really know what I would do witout it as I do need it to keep in touch with my kids and ex husband. I guess in a way I am addicted, because I had a cellphone, even when I had my home phone. I use mine for texting my daughter once in awhile, but mostly, it is is used for talking, however, I do go on the internet with it from time to time. take care, and ahppy mylotting.

i can't say that i'm a cellphone addict. let's just say that a day would not be complete without it coz it's now part of our daily routine. it's also the cheapest way of communication.

I think cell phone is necessary in our life, I often set up my schedule, clock alarm, watch time, it's as a part of my life, if I don't use cell phone for a month, I should wear watch, which let me what time. For me, though I'm not a cellphone addict, but I think it's very useful to have cell phone in our life and work, it's a tool to contact with our friends, families and customers, I will lost any contact without cell phone. It'my opinion.

Normal phone would be an alternative and yes anyone can survive without it. At first it would be terrible but it might be great after a few days. I had a period in my high school when i didn't have one because i didn't feel the need and my friends were telling me to buy one all the time so i did and now i'm one of the addicts Have a great day

If you had asked this question about eight years ago, I would've probably said yes. However, as times changed so have I. When I first got my cell phone, it was something new and interesting. Of course back then cell phones weren't all that popular yet eaither. So to me it was nothing more then a simple fad. However, I grew up, and I moved from the confert of home forced to make a living for myself. As I grew, the need for a cell phone became important, and now aside from my laptop, its my connection with the outside world. Have I gone a month without one? Not since I was 18. Now if it breaks, I get real anxious and have to find some way to replace it. Currently I'm using a broken back-up phone because my previous unit is either stolen or missing. though I'm fairly sure the formar is more possible then the later.
