Really? I bought H.A.W.X. this past march for my 360. Not a bad game but definitely not one of my favorites. I bought the game new (thanks to a gift card) and played it through and decided last week to trade it in while purchasing the new C.O.D. Modern Warfare 2 game. Eight bucks. I got a lousy 8 dollars for my 60 dollar game that isn't even a year old yet. I couldn't let it go. I was pretty upset about the trade in. So, like any curious person I called the store the next day and pretended like I was looking for a used version of the above mentioned game. Of course they had used copies in stock - for 27 big ones. I am sitting here now and can only say that their 300 percent profit is gonna pad their pockets. That is ridiculous. I will NEVER again trade my games in - EVER. Does anyone else feel the same way about this or is it just me?

MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY! At one point of my gaming career i wanted to trade in all of my old games because i heard that Gamestop was accepting old games. I rushed right over with a bag of at least 50 games. I was excited when the guy was scanning all of them. When the grand total came out it was a lousy 60 bucks. 60 BUCKS FOR 50 games. i casually took my bag of games back and i threw the recipt in his face. Id rather have a decent collection than a shiny new game. ONE game. I'm not giving up years of games for one new one.

what do yo expect? a game that is a year old? the game shops want newer titles; or big titles like halo or grand theft auto.if you want more trade in credit trade in alot of your older titles and of course, you'll get more credit- towards a newer title.i've gotten anywhere between $14.00 all the way up to $60.00 for my trade ins.plus its not the guys at the local gameshop who sets the value of a games trade value; its their main company headquaters that do that.

oh sorry, your game you traded in is only 8 months old not 1 year old. my mistake. but, to the gameshops unless its a huge title, it might as well be a year old!

It must have been gamestop! Yea they don't have the most fair trade in value. Hubby and I go to a local store, we haven't traded anything in, but we have sold our xbox to the store. We live in a rural community, so we only have two game stores, which is really enough. In any case, next time I'd try to sell a game through amazon or ebay, maybe even craigslist instead of through gamestop if it was gamestop.

I have never played the game H.A.W.X. but have heard it is an interesting game, and I know how it feels to be treated like crap when it comes to trading in games, and I have traded in games and only gotten a few bucks for them which is a load of crap, and that was at Game Stop and me and my wife found a shop downtown that will take games from any system I mean as far back as the NES and he will give you a good price for your trade ins and he will even give you discounts if you buy a lot from his store,me and my wife try to go in there as much as possible, and he usually cuts us a discount because we are regular customers.

Hi friend. Well that seems unfair, it has happen to one friend of mine, here in my country as well. I also think its very abusive for them to seel and try to a 300% profit. Its just ridiculous. I think if you you sell it on ebay or something like that, you could sell it for a higher price.

I looked into that but by the time I end up paying for shipping and handling and payment for the auction listing I am better off just keeping it.

i sold 2 games to gamestop that COD MW and resident evil 5 and it really surprised me how much i got. i got 22 for COD MW and 16 for resident evil 5 which was really wierd because cod is much older older then resident evil 5 i took the deal because i dont play resident evil 5 and i wanted modern warfare 2 so that was it. i guess i could of sold it someone else but most of my friends dont have a xbox 360, and i dont want to sell it through craig's list

That has also happened to me. I traded in 3 ps2 games in Xtravision for the grand total of £9 altogether. Once I heard that I grabbed the games back and went no dice. One of these games was only about 3 months old..... Also my friend traded in Mario Kart and Xtravision quoted £2. I of course told my friend not to take it. I walked over to preowned ds games and guess how much Mario Kart was.......£25. taking 550% profit!! GAME is terrible too most of the time but sometimes they have fair prices. t really depends on the game. But what gets on my nut is when you see GAME selling it for 2-4 even 5 times the price. I know thats how business works but that is just ridiculous. I have only ever traded in one game which is Shadow the Hedgehog. I miss it now and that £8 wasnt worth it :-( I have vowed never to trade in since no matter how bad the Game is or ow old youre richer keeping it than selling it.
