You Tube videos for referrals

I've been hearing a lot about making you-tube videos to promote sites we belong to and need referrals for. Does anyone have any experience with that? I was wondering how you get people to actually use your whole referral link, and not just the site address, like mylot.com.

Well I have never heard of this before and certainly not done it so I really do not know how that is done Are you sure you read it right???? I do hope though that some one can explain it if there is such a thing
