How many of you normally set aside some time in a day for your loved ones?

Given our hectic daily schedule, time just zips past and before you know it, you are already jumping into bed, barely able to keep your eyes open. It's common to hear people say "life is short, cherish it". As I get through my daily routine, I do look forward to spending some quality "us" time with my husband. Just to share our thoughts etc. I am very interested to know how many of my fellow mylotters are of the same opinion and how much time you normally allocate for this. For me, I try to squeeze in a minimum of half an hour, an hour would be superb (that is if one of us does not fall asleep first! LOL)... Most of the time, we have to stop talking as it was getting waaayy to late :)

Hi candleintherain. As part of our daily routine, my husband and I normally talk/discuss for about 30 minutes to 1 hour after breakfast and dinner. Sunday is our rest day. On this day, we do several activities together like exercising, attending mass, watching movies, etc. We try our very best not to do any office-related works on this day.

Hello candleintherain, I have been fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom so I am able to spend quite a bit of quality time with my husband and kids. My husband works during the day but is able to have a schedule to where he is home on the weekends and gets home at three with the kids. We like being able to spend all of our days togetherand even though there are days when I spend time online and the kids watch television but we are still always there for each other and in the house together.

I am here to say that I am lucky enough that me and my love ones has enough time for each other. Especially during the weekends and there are so much time being enjoyed together upon going to the church. I think the thing that keeps this time for each of us is our dedicated faith in God where going to the church together is a must.

I, like you, at least like to have at least half an hour with each other at night. Sometimes with my husband's work schedule that is hard because he is on call 24/7, but we try. It makes the time we do get to spend together that much more special.
