I think it is strange how technology has changed throughout the year the way they designed the televisions remember how they used to be in the big consoles and how now you can hang them on the wall like a picture and also how they used to be only in black and white? Now we have colored television and new things like this. How do you think the world would react if all thungs were the way they used to be?

We recently finally got around to buying a new high definition digital television set to replace out old analogue and as, we sat admiring the size and clarity of the new TV I remember the old black and white we used to have and how amazed and excited I was when we purchased a colour one! After that, I recalled the excitement of replacing that one with a bigger stereo one and now…It is like a movie theatre in the lounge room! We sure have come a long way when it comes to televisions and I wonder what we will be watching in ten year’s time!

Yea those console TV's were a Piece of Furniture! My aunt had on that was 5 feet long The TV was a big thing in the enter than on the Top left A door opened -UPWARDS and in that was the Turntable to play those things called ALBUMS- and On the Top Right it opened UP and in there was all kinds of knobs for stereo and probably 8-Track Tape.. I really don't remember But IT was HUGE.. Maybe some day ion the future I can get one of those hang on the wall TV's- But I think I will need all new walls As I am in a house that is older than those TV's.. Built in the 1800- I am lucky if The nails I put in the wall stay... Without the wall crumbling apart. LOL

Whenever people wonder what use the space program is(was), they merely have to look at TV to see how things have changed. Because of weight limits for space, we had the development of solid state electronics and miniuturization. (Which is now everywhere.) Then we had the development of satellite communication which changed the landscape of TV broadcasts as well as phone transmission and GPS systems. I still remember black and white TV and in those days being fortunate to live in the New York area where we had 7 VHF channels. I also remember going to the store with my father to check TV tubes on a tube tester when the TV was on the blink. Now they swap out whole circuit boards.

Yes I remember the big consoles that had the doors on it. I also remember the TV where you had to get up to change the channels and usually had the rabbit ears on the intener. I like the TV that can hang on the wall because it doesn't take space up on the floor of the room. Its great what technology has done when it comes to the TV in the past 20 years.
