Allen Iverson the Answer

The last few weeks have been extremely sad to see how the NBA has treated a great player like Allen Iverson. One of the best small men to ever play the game of basketball has been treated with disrespect by the league. Do they know what this guy brings to the table? Here is a guy who has a career 27.0 points per game during the regular season along with a better than 29.0 points per game in the post season that is only second to the great and legendary Micheal Jordan. Even during his last few years his shooting percentage has gone up and coming off the bench with only 22 minutes a game this year he was averaging 12 points a game. Your telling me a team like the Nets, Knicks, Clippers, Rockets, and even the Cavs couldn't use a guy like him. If he wants to start you let him start and give him his 30 minutes and he will easily score 18 or better a game. It is very horrible how the NBA has handled this situation. I agree with Iverson that he isn't a bench player and he deserves his opportunity to prove it as well him saying he still has something left to bring to an NBA team. So many teams struggle yet instead of signing a guy who your only going to have to pay 3 million for the year who is going to pack the crowd in to see this guy play is well worth it especially in a slumping market. It is a shame that such a great talent is going to waste and has to retire.

Hey don't lose hope yet. Maybe Iverson is not really retiring. Maybe he's just waiting for a deal to come. I honestly believe that he's not done yet. He's still good. But he must forget about his ego and just play whenever he's needed to play. I'm in this forum where in people are talking about him(Iverson) becoming a maverick. It's just a rumor. I don't really like the idea of bringing Iverson to Dallas because they've got a good rookie and an offensive spark with Barea but if they would really bring up Iverson then I think I'll just wait and see what will happen. shadow41
