Hello friends and dear mylotters, Last week, four of my media men friends were killed, they are among those 57 people who were massacred here in my country(very sad story) 22 were journalists(media men/tv and news print)and it is said to have been the most number of journalist/media men being killed in a single attack in the history. This morning,we and other tv and radio station had joined hand in hand for a silent rally... Have you ever joined any rally?Have a nice Tuesday dear friends and mylotters.

As far as i can remember, way back in my highschool life, i have joined a rally here in my province. Honestly, i can t even remember what we are rallying for, since it was not really a voluntary participation. We were just required to join the rally as a school participation. As a teenager, who goes whereever my group of friend goes, i joined the rally, yet not caring the reason or purpose why we were there, as long as me and my friends were together..

hello doniep, Joining a rally is not advisable unless you know what is all about. Like having protest...sometimes it leads into riot,so,next time,i strongly suggest that, you should know the reason about having a rally or any protest action before you joined any. Rally is not bad,it is a freedom of expression, but it should be done in a legal way,not to hurt any participants. Have a nice weekend dear

I have read about it in the newspaper as well as seen it on tv. It is really sad to note this things happening in our country. Well, I have not joined any rally. But I do pray that this kind of things will not be happening anymore and that our country will find peace and progress.

Hello jpso, This is really sad as well as very alarming too. Countrymen, brothers and same citizenship we do have...yet killing each other, the worst is...innocent people were even killed...what a waste of life/lives. Yah,prayers is what we can do for this time, hoping that our country will have some peace ...just hope for the best. Have a nice weekend dear

Hello jaiho, I like this discussion because this is related to politics. Well, I never tried to joined a rally. Because as I witness those people shouting along the street are always beaten by the police. I don't agree to those protest that this people saying they are fighting for changes but if ask them the real ideology what they are fighting for most of them don't know the answer. But in the case of media killings and the rally that is organize by NPC (national press club). This is legitimate rally to show to the government for what they did in politics. The government should be strong enough to stop those terrible killings. This is not a history but this a kind of tolerated acts violence of the government. Look; Until to this day there is no suspect being arrested but only Unsay Ampatuan. Where are those people involved in the massacre? I watch the rally on TV where Serge Rimonde, was stoned. This person should not be a journalist because he is always telling a lie. Always say about justice but no actions be made by the government where he is working for...

hello there Jaiho, no we never join the rally because it will give my parents a heart attack, my dad didn't mind but my mom is sure afraid of trouble. my eldest brother always works in the Non-GOVERNMENT Organizations and charity institutions and they always rally and my mom would get really mad at them most specially if the GF is also an activist

Hello Letran, I know parents would never all allow kids to joined any protest rally. But with the NPC it is a legal one and not a violent rally or protest. It is a freedom to express the sentiments and a shout for justice. I hope our government will hear the NPC cries before it's too late. Have a good weekend ahead dear brother.

Hello, I am guessing you live in the Philippines? I am sorry for your grief and loss. I have never been in a rally, in the sense that you are describing and I certainly haven't had such issues of that potency to prompt me to protest. Although here are some logical tips form some one who has never protested that might help you: protest in an area that is influential, like an embassy, the American, Australian, Canadian, English embassies will get attention world wide. Never resort to violence, no more blood needs to be shed. Have a voice, use chants etc. Avoid too many signs just make sure you disrupt traffic as much as possible. Stopping traffic flows gets maximum results. All these methods can be used in my country, whether this can be used legally in your country is another question.

Hello yourlankanfriend, Yah,i am from Philippines. Thanks for your sympathy dear. Rally made by the (NPC)NATIONAL PRESS CLUB,doesn't create any trouble,it was a very peaceful rally, only signages were the one speaking for ,and so with the shirt slogans and message that expresses our agony and mourning. Have a nice weekend friend

Hello Bartz, Well, good for you friend. I know some union organization also asking for their rights and privileges but doesn't given what they were asking. This is one of the main problem here in my country, the less protection program for laborers, and very low income. Thanks for your response and have a good day always

I salute there bart, it's not fair when you're working in an electronic company, i've heard it ain't easy to work in a Company like it requires a lot of safety stuff and considered dangerous if you're not careful. you have to wear gloves and glasses to your eyes. there should always have union so that workers rights are always heard, with these workers would end up slaves, like people in the CSR.lolz

i still never had join any rally ever since and i don't have an interest to join because i know that i only waste my time joining with this group, maybe rally is not a good way to express what we wanted to in the government.i also seen prayer rally and its more okay rather than other rally.
