Should the next Superman movie be darker

I've been researching to find out if WB is going to make another Superman movie. There is talk of it but, they are talking about making it darker, more like the new Batman movies. If you are a fan of the comics tho you know that Superman is not very dark, and neither are his villains. So what do you think... Darker or Not? let me know.

I dunno Batman Is Kinda a Dark Hero where as Superman is Not.
It would change the "superman"essance of Him
Although It would Prolly be a good Flick

I don't know if I can call myself a huge fan but superman has been one of my favorite comic chracter. I wouldn't mind seeing superman's darker side. If I remember correctly, in one of the superman movies, there was one with him having a split personality. He ends up fighting "himself" in a junk yard. Of course good side of him wins. May be something close to that where one of his dark personality comes out. I know DC comic have been playing with the idea of different colored krytonite, and each colors affecting superman in a different manner.

wow they all seem to be going darker. So did spiderman 3 with the black suit thing. Personally i like it and i think it would make the new superman much better than the last one. In my opinion the last one was slightly boring dare i say :)
