Well all my family has a cell phone. We even cut the home phone because no one uses it. All we get from the residential phone is telemarketers and these machines that call every house and no one wants to buy their stuff. Cell phones are so useful because they can be anywhere and many people like to text. I text alot also... too bad home phones dont text lol...But you know the internet is the next level to communication. Home phones are so obsolete, dont you think?

i agree, cellphones just killed the telephone. I was able to get a cellphone and never had the chance of owning a landline. Cellphones are just the most practical and cheaper way to communicate with others. Not to mention the other things that a modern cellphone could do. I think the only limitation of the cellphone nowadays it to do the cooking and washing . I consider it the most useful invention of all time. Cheers!

Who doesn't have a cell phone thease days? It seems everywhere I turn someone has one. I have one account with T-mobile which has two lines on it. I got rid of the home phone for the same reason. We don't need it and that's one less bill that needs paying. George gets anoyed and keeps telling me to cancel his line, but I'm not going to do it. It has proven useful. And, I don't mind it.

They would be obsolete if everyone was able to get service in their homes. I'm one of the unfortunate who cannot hold a signal for long on my cell phone when I'm in my house. So until my provider actually provides decent service in my home area or until I switch to another provider who just might do that already, I'm stuck with my home phone and all the annoyances that come with it.
