American Recovery Act 2009: Wise or not?

The bill was passed last February 13,2009, four days after it was signed into law by president Obama.It was contemplated as a direct response to the economic crisis particularly concerns the 2007 recession.Its goal is to provide assistance to small businesses, give funds to create and save existing jobs, tax cut off is also guaranteed for qualified recipients, it will also repair and construct infrustructure projects such as roads, bridges,home for the homeless and enhance medical services as well as education related needs. Some critics says it is just a waste of fund from the government, the total fund for the program is $787 billion.

I think it is a wise move by the government under Pres. Obama. At least, he focused on solving their nation's economic crisis. It is important to save existing jobs. I have relatives in the US who really suffered due to the recession. The steps taken under the American Recovery Act will surely help alleviate the sufferings of the people in the US, Americans or non-Americans.
