Okay,I have a toshiba laptop. And the touchpad continuously freezes. It, for the life of me, only works 2/5 times I try to move the cursor every like, 5 minutes. And it takes forever for it to unfreeze. It's frozen right now, actually. It's really a pain in the butt when I'm trying to do things and all of a sudden my touchpad doesn't work. I've tried updating the drivers for the pad but that didn't even work! anyone have an idea?

Check your touch pad settings and be sure you didn't accidently "lock" your touch pad. It is possible to do that. Turn off the unit, and lightly clean the sensor pad itself. That can also cause it to stick. If nothing else your laptop will come with trouble shooting files you can use that should step-by-step instructions on what other tips and tricks you might try.

Well if you have try to update the drivers and that did´t work... Do you have another mouse plugged in? like an external one? Also notice that the Toshiba laptops come with a "Fn" key, try and hit the fn key and the F7 (it varies depending on the model you have) to enable or disable the touch-pad. If that don´t work try to roll back to previous driver. Also look at any recent windows updates, some might cause conflict. It that is try to restore to an earlier time. If that don´t help go to fixya . com. they have lots of useful information and other resources! GOOD LUCK PAL!
