The smaller things get, the more expensive they becomes. Although laptops/ desktops are heavily more expensive then cell phones with the same qualities, I would always choose to buy a computer instead for one reason: You can always do much more things with your computer than with your mobile phone, like: Playing call of duty modern warfare 2 or crysis or assasins creed 2. The only advantage that a cell phone has over a computer is the text messaging and calling made easier. Although it's possible to use programs to call or text message your relatives, using a regular mobile phone for this would be more straight forward.

A laptop is very helpful these days especially if you are interested in the internet, if you have business in the internet. On the other hand, a cellphone is very helpful too in terms of communication and internet browsing because there are cellphone with features that are internet ready. Those gadgets are both handy.I mean you can bring a laptop and a cellphone every where outside the premises of your house giving the option that the place or a certain room or establishment that you go must have an internet access or is wi-fi zone and you're ready to browse or surf.To fully operate a laptop one must recharge the laptop's battery for longer usage of the gadget same goes to a cellphone. But I think a cellphone's battery last longer. Both made human lives a little easier and that If I were to choose,I will choose my cellphone because you can still use it for a longer period of time than that of a laptop. And a cellphone is more handy than a laptop you can just put it in your pocket and it is light weight too..

if given a choice, i would go for cell phones... reasons can be the portability... we generally don't sit and talk... we tend to walk or move while talking... and cell phone suits this kind of talking... also we need not put the head gear or ear phone to talk via cell phones... i have tried calling via my laptop but thats not feasible for me...
