I have. I'm hispanic and i simply feel that i don't like those things people usually associates with being an hispanic. For example, my favorite artists are Coldplay, Keane, Starsailor, Thirteen Senses. I also love Britney and i used to listen to Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart when I'm studying. That's basically what i love. The second point is that i don't like to go to parties, i don't like to make noice, i am basically a nerd. Lol. XD. I forgot, i don't like soccer. In a family reunion, my brother was like... come on! have fun! and i was like hmmm, no, i prefer to keep reading in my bedroom. I don't know how to dance by the way. And he was like... when you'd travel to Poitiers (I'm planning to go to France when I'd finish my collegue studies) nobody would recognize you as an hispanic. My opinion is that i don't want to be a sterotype, in fact i'm far from being what people supposed hispanics are. I just want to be myself. So have you ever felt that you're not acting as people suppose you shold have to act based on those stereotypes. Thanks for your answers. Alvaro.

yes i so do feel that way. have all my life. ive always had a lot of the male interests, not gay though. like i dont like shopping, or make-up, having tons of shoes, cooking, being domestic, etc, as supposedly all women/girls should. always hung out with the boys. but strangely im attracted physically to males.so in that respect im all woman. been married 5 times, had 5 children, (i did like being a mom, I'll admit) but just like doing other things guys do. like playing baseball, lifting weights, etc. cant no more tho, because of emphezema

Hi bunny bon:I think that being a mom is a blessing so congratulations. I think that the worst part of the stereotypes thing is that, sometimes people don't understand you because you don't act the way they think you have to, etc. Thanks God, timegoes on and we have seen how many women have shown that they can do the same things we, the guys do, equally or even better. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. ALVARO.

When people see me , they may think I am a goody-goody , Straight laced person but... I am a rebel. I love hard rock music. But I also love Chopin. I can play the violin but I also can play country on my guitar. I don't fall into any stereo type. my favorite is when people just assume i am christian. Oops! I am not. I think people are people , period. So you don't like soccer, and you do like Mozart. I like soccer and as for Mozart, it's a love hate thing. I love some and hate Ein Klein Nach Musique.Anyway. To me there is no one way to be Any nationality. You are who you are. And anyone who can't accept or honor who you are isn't worth your time.

Hi Sarah: Thanks for your answer. I think that, some people use stereotypes because they don't want to waste their time thinking about who you really are. For me this is a little bit annoying specially when I found that, some persons prefer not to talk with someone without even knowing how he/she really is. Thanks for your answer. I am glad to be your friend too. :) -Alvaro.

It is sad that people are that afraid. It is frustrating that some people are that closed minded. I Never assume anyting about anyone. I may be shy in person at first but once I get to know a person, I'll ask more about themso I'll really Know them. That way there are no pre-conceived notions that get in the way.

I think the current stereotype I fit is the Panda Po from Kung fu Panda. Not that cut and dried though. Also I have ADHD so...I'm confused.
