help, what computer antivirus can I use that is free to download?

Hello Bulastika, As suggested above, and myself i also use AVG antivirus, it is free to use even though it often suggest you to go Pro, you just need to read carefully through the site as they have set up so many choices to try getting you to pay for it, even though they have a free version. AVG have certanily caught some vira trying to attack my PC, so i can recomend it, my boyfriend suggested it to me as I didnt have any, and he should be qualified enough to know what he talks about since he is currently employed as a softwareprogrammer... :)

I'm using AVG and it works fine for me. The free edition is available at the AVG website.

i am using avast antivirus, and it even has a cleaner. i downloaded it on download.com. i also downloaded anti-malware program. i also heard that AVG is a good antivirus, but i havent tried it myself. i think they are all the same. there are a lot out there. ask around and see which ones most people use.

Avast is good but avira i think is very fast and top rated 3 so if for freeware, not much better choices than avira. Use comodo firewall (freeware) and then your pc would be very safe. Apart from these, all are so obvious names - adaware, spybot, antimalware.

AVG is by far the best in my experience. The free version is great for home computer use and in the four years I have been using it I have never had any problems.

Friend, that's not a big matter..there are so many antivirus programs available in the market and i have tried so many of them too. but what i found best according to my view was Quick Heal antivirus. it's found one of the best not only for me but so many of my friends have also felt the same. You can just download it's one month trial version from it's site. and about the adware cleaner, i'm using ccleaner..that's quite fantastic too..u can try it out.
