Why we are not allowed to use colourful light for our car?

I wouldn't blame the goverment for it being illegal. Have different colourful, maybe bright light in your car can cause a danger to other drivers. For example, because of the light they get "blinded" and end up crashing or else they end up getting distracted and crash into another car. So I totally agree that it should be kept illegal as to prevent more dangers for the world's drivers and that way we have less things to worry about.

Yes, because of blinding the others. The colorful lights, except the yellow ones, blind the drivers and they can crash. I also agree the interdict for thecolorful car lights

Cause of distraction buddy...If you use colourful lights so there are more changes of accident....Tht`s why we should use dippers...coz when the person comin in front can see clearly...The colourful light falshes closes our eyes or we cant see due to this lights and if we cant see properly there is full chance of accidents..

The color of a green object in red light will be black. So if we use red head lights, only red and white objects will be seen as red. All other objects will be seen as black. That means we wont be able to see things clearly at night. Another factor is that colored lights will cause some psychological problems in some people.

I believe it is because bright colors on a car are a driving hazard when shone upon by headlights, kind of like how we can see stop signs and such in the night. That sort of color would be dangerous on a moving object, particularly a car.
