Old hindi movies are better in story line and script compare to new hindi movies. Now a days directors and producers just think that by taking star cast and shooting on beautiful location and good publicity will be enough to make a hit. But lot of todays movies do not have good story line. What do u think?

Well, I would say that old movies are really good in story and as well as songs. Music was really romantic those days but the lyrics....! I personally feel each and every line mentioned in the lyrics. To be honest I am still lover of old movies. New movies are only to earn money. They are just using the stardom and a little expose of beautiful models involved with meaningless messages. Well, this is what I feel the difference between old and new Indian movies.

Hi shweta, Hindi cinema has gone a sea change in last six decades but to say that it has gone for worse is not right. In every era there were many movies made which were good and many movies were average and many were real bad. In older days the movies helped in spreading superstions and though many had storeyline but not all and those movies if were made today like very hit movie Azaad ( staring dilip kumar) or jewel Theif ( staring devanand) would be called not good because they are made now but r good as they are old. The society has changed and so has cinema. even today we got many good movies esp the love stories featuring SRK or like life in metro. So can not say that all old movies are good and new movies are bad.

old movies i agree r with a purpose and i think the time is such that they could not have had such limitations.those movies were made with a message a meaning and most of all for with viewership in mind.coming today the movies have come of age but lost on the basic ingredients as to y they r being made.thanks to minting of money and unnecessary compition now a days they have lost the main aim- purpose and viewership. in olden days the movies were made to last for eternity(many to name of course)but now except for a few u hardly remember a movie with a message.they have become more of markting agencies for money by beautification rather than substance.
