If you read online, how many minutes or hours do you spend? I don't taking a long time reading online, as it gets my eye tired and weary.

Hi there Care Garden. Well i read a lot on mylot when i am searching for topics to answer (up to a few hours spread out through out the day, as i also do other things while on mylot). I also read when trying to find good quality information for the projects i have to do for college ( i am in my master years right now). And of course i also do personal reading, within my interests depending on the mood. I guess overall i spend between a few minutes online reading up to a few hours.

I too read mostly print as opposed to reading off my computer screen. My eyes will get tired after about two or three hours with proper lighting andI might start getting a headache with bad lighting after an hour.

To be perfectly, I don't read a lot online, for a similar reason as you. It gets my eyes tired and such. Besides I much prefer reading actual books. I feel that it doesn't hurts my eyes as much.

Yeah, reading a printed materials or books doesn't makes our eyes weary easily and it's much comfortable. We can bring and read it anywhere we like. I only read online when I'm reading a blog, writing discussions and some of those interesting articles. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

I don't like to read online articles. If something interests me,then I will take a printout of the same and read it relaxed without straining my eyes.I would suggest you to follow the same. But the searching for the right article will not count. So,if you take into account reading online,I will say, just five minutes, that too for deciding.

Yeah, I did the same thing as yours. Every time there's a good article and I want to read it, most often I print it out and read it at the comfort of my room. I can't stay long time in the computer screen. It hurts my eyes and I avoid to have any problem with my eyes in the future. Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it. And thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Every day I make it a point to read a blog that I love so it takes me around 30 minutes to an hour because before I do anything I read articles and blogs first. I also read a lot of interesting discussions here and so far I have been reading the whole morning so it really depends on my time and energy as well.

I don't spend much time reading online, and the reason is very much similar to you, that my eyes get tired and weary. I usually read short articles about technology on the Internet, but hardly remember spending more than an hour reading anything. I still prefer reading in hard copy and only if I had a printer that I would have printed the articles and read them offline. Anyways, life is always bad. Regards, AJ-Rox

I think that averaged out through the whole week, I spend about 2 hours a day just reading things online. They aren't even books, though, and are just for pure entertainment! For example, blogs! I love them! I like the little websites that post all of the funny daily things of people's lives, like My Life Is Average and FML! Oh, and Texts From Last Night are really good, too.

Depends on what kind of reading you are referring to. Books I don't read to many on line, I like the feeling of a book's pages, but all day long I read articles and materials, reviews and news... forums. If I do the math I would get at around 7-8 hours a day.
