I am concerned about the increase in gold price. I am seriously watching it. My friend is getting married next month and I need to get a gold ring for her. My sister will also get married soon for that I need to gift some gold. I have a friend who does one gram gold plated jewelry business. Her business has developed three types since the continuous increase in gold price. Are you concerned about the continuous increase in gold price?

Yes, it is the worry of all parents with daughters. We also have similar customs. It is better to save gold part by part than buying it all at once. Gold price is increasing at a high rate. People are talking that it will come down after it reach a peak amount, but I am not sure it will happen. Let us hope for the best.

I do not plan to buy any gold so I am not watching the price of gold. It is likely to go down after New Year's day. If you have patience then wait till February.

I am plannng to buy a small chain and pendant for me too. I have also some other plans to buy gold. Hope it will come down. I have a crazy attraction towards gold.

Hi dalia, The increasing price of Gold is a question mark for the parents of those girls, who are going to marry now. The price is really not affordable by the common people. In South India gold is an essential factor in the marriage ceremony. Nobody can imagine about a marriage without gold. Like you many are worrying how to give a gift by gold for close relatives. It is a custom in our place to give a gift by Gold on marriage, when siblings, cousins or closely related person’s marriage. Personally I do not much on gold then also it indirectly affects me too because I am a maternal aunt of a girl who is going to marry in the second month of next year. So I too concerned dear.

Since the price of gold are going up all the time, the quicker you buy, the cheaper it will be for you. I think the two best investments at the moment are for residential land and gold. The price of both is increasing rapidly and it is an almost sure 100% profitable investment. Buy the jeweleries as soon as you can because after two months you will see the prices have increased by 3-4 thousands.

I agree. It is terrible. The people earning daily wages are having a harder time to make their ends meet. It is so sad. The way the prices are going up, very soon I will also join that category.

Hi daliaj. It is true that Gold rates are getting increased at an alarming rate which sends a bad warning to many house holds in India. Yes, in India, gold plays an important role in deciding the status and class of a person. Gold is womens best friend in our country and due to the global shortage for gold, the rate is getting increased at a steeper rate. But none of us seems to care about that is my opinion. Even today, You can see a huge crowd in front of the jwellery shops and people continues to buy gold as they used to do previously. A recent stats say that if people in India stops buying gold for a week, then gol rate would come down by 30% globally. Thanks for starting this discussion and have a great day. Happy Mylotting. Cheers:-)

LOL. Is that a joke or truth? I also found the same thing. People are taking everywhere about the increase in the price of gold, but you can always see that jewelries are filled with women regardless of the variations in gold price. I think people are buying more gold now because they see gold price increasing day by day. I have to get a ring for my friend getting married next month. I will also get a pendant for me when I go to jewelry.

To say the truth,I'm not concerned about the increase in gold price.Because gold has nothing to do with my life.I'm just a student. And students may be the poorest class in the society. We have no idea of gold but money.

I'm not fond of jewelries and even gold. I don't know if gold is a good investment. I don't understand why it is very important to you to give your friend a gold for her marriage because here in the Philippines we don't usually give them. Gold is expensive here and we can't afford to buy them usually we only give the bride useful items that she and her husband can use.

Well, I am not really interested or concerned about gold since I do not collect gold nor wear any gold jewelries. I think that only gold jewelry that I posses is the wedding ring on my finger. Well, It may be worthwhile for someone with a capital to invest in gold considering that the price is continuesly increasing. Perhaps this is the best time to invest on gold matters. I do hope that you will be able to secure the gold ring. Best to you and best wishes to the couple.

Well everybody is concerned with the increase in gold prices going up and up everyday. As it also affects the currency exchange rates, its price is a big concern in a developing country like nepal.

My sister will be marrying next year. So I am very concerned. I am planning on buying the gold as soon as I can. The more I will wait, the costlier it will be. So, I think it is very wise to buy the jeweleries and keep them stored. The price of gold will not fall, that is for sure.

Hello daliaj this is checkmail and often do regularly check the prices of Gold, silver and other currency rates in mine newpapers.Yeah its an imp thing to do as normally all the prices going around us, are basically based on the prices of this metals and the variation between currencies. We could know whether the price is going up or down and can adjust our budget according to it.Its noticed htat whenever the prices og gold increases there is slowly increase in prices of commodities and other stuffs. And if the rise in price og Gold continues than its followed by inflation, which is the worst thing to happen to us.Anyways Happy Mylotting.

To be quite honest, not really. In fact with places like Cash for Gold i'm not suprised. The market is hurting because of the fact everything is a mess. Prices keep going up and it's redicoulous. I know even with the prices where they were I wouldn't afford. People just need to make money to keep their businesses a float. When I hear something going up, it doesn't suprise me. I'm more concerned about food costs.

Yes, you are right. Saving money in gold is a very good way. Now a days, there are schemes where you can deposit in gold as paper gold. If you want to save gold as a wealth, it is better to go for gold coins. If you exchange gold ornaments for money, you will loose some money you paid as making charge. I collect gold as I am fond of gold ornaments. In future I will get some gold coins as a saving. Thanks for the response.

We were talking about this not to long ago in another forum. But what bothered most people was that the government has there hand in some of these cash for gold places. The government even made it hard for many of us to even have an e-gold account any more, So I have to say that there are a few things to be watching for. This year is the first year that we have really seen the cash for gold places boom. Is it the economy? Maybe. On top of everything else the Government has made it hard for people to collect gold. We are only allowed to buy 10 gold coins Max, in a year here in the US. That is a new law that came out 2 years ago.
