Venice, Italy

I have just come back from a trip to Venice in Italy where I spent 2 nights with my husband - we took the trip as part of his birthday celebrations and although the weather was a bit wet I absolutely loved it! Have you ever been or would you like to visit and what would you like to see whilst you are there? x

Hello my friend. I am really glad to hear that you and your husband had a wonderful time in Venice. I went there in November 1994. I was quite cold there. I loved seeing St Mark's Square and looking at some of the bridges. I really enjoyed visiting some of the islands. I bought some lovely tasting tiny oranges. I hope that you will do lots more enjoyable traveling in 2010.

I love seeing European architecture. Venice has some lovely looking old buildings. The canals are so scenic. Bruges is one of my favorite places and it is known as the Venice of the North. Have you been there? x

I have been to Europe that included Italy where I covered Rome, Pisa, and Venice. I liked that travel by the water bus to reach my hotel. I also liked the St. Marks Square where I had a session with the pigeons while listening to the never ending band in the background. Our hotel was situated on the beach and that beach experience I will never forget. I also liked my visit to the glass factory where they showed us how they make glass items. One thing I did not like were those gondolas as I found the water not so clean!!!

We did not go over to the Lido - is that where you mean by the beach? x
