Success in life comes from taking risks or careful planning?

Success is the keyword which everyone looks for and nowadays,it has become a parameter to measure a person. Do you think success in life comes from taking risks or chances? or does success result from careful planning?
Success in life comes by taking risks or chances because opportunities these days are hardly few and you need to take a chance at anything and everything that comes by you and succeed in it. According to me,there is no point waiting for what you want. It's DO OR DIE most of the time.

i would most probably prefer the carefully planned way ........but there are risks involved in every aspect of whatever u"re doing ......
in the very competitive world of today there are more risks involved than it matters...but u can"t pull off something if u dont plan it atleast a bit ......u can"t also pull it off if u take the right risk at the right time ...so i would say that its a combination of both that would be needed for success.......

Combination? I didn't get you. You mean to say for certain situations you need to take a risk and for certain tasks to end successful it should be planned?
