How do you promote your blog?

I just bulid a new blog. And i find some ways from site. Do you have more experience about promote the site? How to improve the traffic? I tried some reciprocal links. Maybe i did not find the useful links now.

i the assistant of SEO. My duty is find so effect links. For example, some blogs site. And i have to sign up, published some articles. And then add our companny's link.I had word five days. This job never belongs to my love. i hate it. so , it is just your pravcy blog. It is better to spending your time in wrinting and enjoying your life. Don't like the company's profitability.
