Hello guys, as what i observed the last time I was at my flight, while waiting at my schedule, I saw lots of people doing anything to "kill" the time until their flight time. Some were sleeping, some were watching movies, some texting and surfing. Me? I was just sitting after (net)surfing observing anything until my flight time came. How about you guys, what you usually do to consume your waiting period? Just curious guys...mobhomeir..

It is very tough to kill time in Airport lounges. In the beginning it is always very interesting to watch people and their activities and emotions. But you get bored up easily. Then you start to read and the position as is not your favorite you are unable to concentrate anymore.Playing with your cell phone too becomes boring after sometime making your eyes tired and your mind occupied with the thought of leaving the place soon in to the plane.

Hello Martin, I don't travel by plane ...but i always pick someone at the airport,my mom, auntie and friends/relatives and sometimes referred friends and also drop of some clients and recruits. While waiting at the arrival,i always bring my son or any friend with me when picking up a relatives or a referred friend, and,to kill the time,we bring along some game stuff, this is when we are picking from the NAIA...But if with TERMINAL 2,no worries, passengers can get out within 10-20 minutes, and airport is just a 15 minutes drive from my house,so need to standby for so long. But,if i had to pick my mom,she always take plane that land at the NAIA,and my kids are always excited to met their "mommy" so,half an hour before the arrival we are already waiting at the arrival area. And,i bring pocketbook or net surfing is fine too, while kids are busy counting the passengers(lol)they love to count how many foreigners from each country arrived. And they also had this habit of guessing from which country a particular foreigner came from.

Texting? Yeah maybe I could do that also but not really enough 'til my scheduled time comes....anyway..thanks for your response.. Mobhomeir...

Hi Mobhomier, Yes, i watched TV while waiting for my flight in the airport. i am just frustrated because i could not understand the dialogue or whatever is being played on because the sound is not loud enough for us to understand it. there are lots of monitor around playing different shows. but at least i have something to entertain myself in. sometimes i do crochet and just glance from time to time on the TV.

Yes you're right on that. It is usually hard to understand if you watch movie or tv on a public area because they've lowed the volume, sometimes it would be frustrating especially if you're watching a nice movies..well, just for the sake of killing the time that would help a lot....thanks for responding...

Hi, Mobhomeir. I watched movie when I'm waiting at the airport. Also, I'll listen to music while waiting for my flight. There is one time my flight was delay for many hours, I listen to music to spend the boring time. Luckily my laptop is with me. I won't sleep when waiting for my flight. If there is a Wi-Fi I'll surf internet.

Well I guess you're lucky enough to have your own laptop at least you could have a lots of time surfing compared to just using for free facilities at the airport. You can't concentrate on your surfing when there are lots of people staring at you while waiting for their turns...thanks for responding...

This is an intersting question. I hate to wait for anything, especially at places like bus stations, train stations, and airports, which are filled with a lot of people. I hate it when buses won't arrive on time. I hate to make people wait for me. If I will be forced to wait, then I get a magazine and read it for some time, I just go for a walk and see the shops in the airport, play games in my mobile for some time, etc.

I guess you have no patience in waiting. Well, I think you're really particular on the departure time so that you would not have to wait for long...well, there are people like that...for me I would rather arrive in advance than hurrying up catching the time...well, it all depends on how we manage our time...thanks for responding...

Now that you have to be at the airport so early, there are a few routines that I go through to waste time and not get too impatient. I will eat a meal, usually some kind of fast food. Then I will go to the convenience store and look at magazines. Sometimes I pick one up and buy it, other times, I go ahead and buy a bottle of soda and some kind of snack to eat on the plane. Most of the time, then, I will find my gate and I will watch the news programs on the airport monitors.

If I have to wait anywhere I usually have a book and do some reading. Usually though I find watching the people around me to be more interesting. I go back and forth and read for awhile and then observe for a while.

The airports I`ve been to didn`t have many entertaining things, so I would go to a starbucks to drink some tea, or visit the souvenir shops, or take some pictures. When I get bored of that I might play some game in my DS. If the stopover is long, I might go to walk around down the nearest city

A good idea then my friend...at the new places, when stopover would be long, I rather still stay at the airport I am afraid of losing myself anywhere if I would go around the city...thanks for responding...

The only thing that I do when I have to wait at the airport is listen to music or play with my portible games and thats pretty much it now that I have an ipod touch I will be able to surf the internet and play those cool games they have while waiting for my plane ride which sometimes could last for a few hours or more depending on if theres any delays or not.

I usually surf the net during the waiting period. Otherwise I just enter into all the shops which are there in the airport and just look at them. I might buy some sweets or snacks to take it home and give it to my children.Of course if I have sufficient money, I usually buy something for the family, in the boutiques which are available in the airport.

Yes likewise if I would have some extra money I also shop a little for a presents to someone I would be going in. But mostly I rather sit and do anything because roaming around entice you to buy anything you like though anything that are sold in the airport has a big difference in terms of price compared outside....well, it's okay as what I had said if we have a lot of extra money for that...thanks for responding my friend... Hi mobhomeir! I usually surf the net, since most of the airport has wi-fi connections or just play games with my phone. Sometimes I roam around the airport and find something to buy. I do sometimes chat with other waiting passengers.. haha.. Happy my lotting!

Yeah...for me I would just sit and do watching shows though I could not understand it because most likely they've lowered the volume. Or, texting some friends or if internet facilities at the airport are not busy then I surf for a while just to kill the time....thanks for responding then my friend...

Hi. I normally surf the net while waiting for my flight. Once I done surfing, I normally read a book. Reading a book while waiting is the best entertainment for me.
