Hi, mylotters! I just want to ask you: do you like winter and snow, and what do you mostly do, when you out in the snow? My favorite one is take a walk along the snowy streets, to look over the people and to take some photos. I also like making snowmen, but in the last few years I didn't have this opportunity. I also like go out and look how it snows. I love to look the falling snow flakes. And what do you like?

Hello nautilus33! The season winter is my favorite..Snow is my favorite thing for parkour :) And most of times i like winter because we have bigger vacantions, from school..I like it also because its snowing..We can make big piles of snow and jump from 3-4 level from a building..And we don`t feel nothing..We train our "break falls" :) But anyway i like it most like you because of photos..You can make some figures, and make pictures with them,or throwing snowballs, its fun.. :) Happy day - joro1best

I adore winter. Then again, I love all the seasons. I don't know if I've ever seen anything more simplistic and relaxing than a smooth landscape blanketed in snow. It's so beautiful because it reminds you...life is truly simple. Sometimes you have to stop thinking of all the details and simmer it down. I'm 21, so you'd think I'd be a little too old to play in the snow...but last winter, my husband and I went out, took a walk in the snow, took a sled, wrote words of love in the snow, etc. It was so much fun...my first time "playing" in the snow since I was in middle school. It made me realize how wrong the idea of maturity is viewed. Sometimes you have to let yourself relax and just go play in the snow. If you don't like cold weather, make some hot chocolate and look at the snow! Every year, it never fails, I go out in the snow with a black shirt or jacket...just so when the snow falls, I can actually see the intricate detail of each individual snowflake. I'm sure we all know snowflakes are highly original...but has anyone else taken a moment to actually test this idea? It's gorgeously entertaining to let snowflakes fall on you and compare them before they melt. Again, it takes the hustle and bustle out of life for a moment and lets you focus on what truly matters...simplicity. I think winter is such a hated season because it's inconvenient. People think of snow as a hassle...snow trucks, salty cars, it's hard and scary to drive...people think of shoveling driveways, driving on ice, having to check school hours, the cold weather that's not fun to be in, etc. This says something to me. This says that most people see life as a hassle...if things don't go perfectly the day is ruined. If life isn't all sunshine and warmth, well, we'll wait until it is to enjoy it. Winter teaches a lesson. It says that if you can find beauty in even the inconvenient, THAT is enjoying life. Or perhaps I'm reading too far into it.

I agree with you...those people certainly are missing out on the best things in life, and it's a shame. Winter has its own beauty...for those who don't see it and don't take the time to look for it, it's only going to prove to be a drag until the beloved spring arrives. Who wants a fourth of the year to be a drag? I don't! I will definitely keep going out in the snow...if anything, it will remind me that no matter how many years pass, I don't have to feel older. How many older generations go out with their kids and play in the snow? How many love to take walks in it? Not many. What's the fun in that?

Yeah, you are so right. We all must love winter and enjoy it!!!

Hi! I think there is not such a thing like too old to playing in snow. I am 23 and I still do it sometimes. I like it very much, because I feel like that old times, when I was child and play with my sister, cousin and friends in snow, and was so carefree. Yes, you are right about the things, that people hate snow because it makes some problems with the transport and other things, but that's only for people, who have forget what "enjoy life" means, people, who care only about their job and money and I don't like such people. SO I can only say to you: GO out and play in snow!!! Feel the happiness, that winter brings!

Hi Nautilus. I used to love the snow but as I get older I lost interest in playing or walking in the snow. I don't mind seeing it I am just happier in the spring summer and fall of every year. I love to see the snow as long as it isn't on the roads.

I always get a little bit sad, when I hear some doesn't like snow any more, since he/she grown up. It's sad, because we all forget the childish in ourselves, and that's namely the thing that makes us more humane, don't you think?

I think some of us forget our childish ways of thinking when it comes to snow. We would play in the snow no matter how old we get but with growing older comes the aches and pains too. We play around like we are just kids anyway but the cold is a little harder on you when you grow older.

Hi Nautilus33, I absolutely love snow....I love everything about it, making snowmen with the kiddies and drinking hot cocoa with little marshmallows. I especially love that first snow fall, when everything gets covered and nobody has touched it yet. Oh, it looks so beautiful:) I am still waiting for snow this year though, it better come soon. It doesnt seem like christmas without it.
14 Dec 09
Yes, you right! There is no Christmas without snow! Or it's not so wonderful. I also like when snow is untouched on the streets and glades. So keep enjoying it and don't grow up for it. Good luck and I wish you a lot of snow for Christmas!

I really dont care for the winter since its so cold and I hate the cold even though I like the snow. I use to love winter when I was a kid and before I had a job since I could look forward to school cancelations but with my job I cant look forward to them which sucks and I have to drive in the snow which I don't like to do since my car is not that great in the snow.
13 Dec 09
But snow is something wonderful. Even if it makes you trouble, I think you can find something good in it!!!

I HATE winter and snow. Snow is prety to look at and all, but I really do not like it- I have to shovel it off the walkways and its a major hazar when I try to drive somewhere. I'm not saying I wish there was no such thing as snow- I ouldn't mind if it snowed in the mountains and whatnot, I just don't want in near my living space. w

Hi I like snow very much! Before I went to school when it snowed , my best friends and I would usually came out from the house and played in the snow , no matter how cold it was ! I remembered once it took us several hours to make a snowman! I could just imagine how happy we were when we finished it in the end ! When I was in middle school and high school , I do not play in the snow any more! what I do was just walking in the snow, seeing the beautiful white world and appreciating the wonderful season! Now I live in south China. It did not snow in winter. So there is not much happy than the days when it snowed! I'm looking forward to a big snow very much !
14 Dec 09
Why are you not playing any more in snow? I still play sometime, because I think playing in snow is not something childish, but something wonderful and precious. So try to play again and you will see, it likes you again
