Self esteem problems any advice?

December 13, 2009 5:44pm CST
I know this sounds strange but I do not suffer with low self confidence. I can deliver speeches, go upto and talk to strangers all those sorts of things. However I suffer from low self esteem. I beat myself up a lot. In other words I always think I should have done better or when I make a mistake I relive it over and over untill I make myself depressed. Does anyone have any ideas how I can stop doing this or things I could start to do to help this.

I don't know. There are a lot of things that you can do to help. I would think so because there are lots of adds and stuff for stuff like this. A lot of jobs. Medicine, and healing. You can go to a doctor, or a therapist, or you can think about it.

hi there skipper, i too tend to be suffering a bit of what you are suffering and sometimes it gets chronic which makes me hold back from doing a lo of things. i wouldn't say i have the solution but i heard laughing out loud at yourself after making a mistake and then moving on does the magic, dunno how easy that really is though and can't tell whether i've really tried it.
