Earning from site advertisements

My friend told me that he want to find some advertisements on his site. I do not know more about it. It seems that he can get extra money from advertisements which put on the site. If he can get more chance he may earn a little. I only know google adsense. If you do not have more traffic i think you can earn more from it. I think firm price for putting on site is convenient way.
