Stunting

We have a small squad with 6 girls all of which are new to the world of stunting. Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of simple but still cool stunts to perform. They already do thighstands, shoulder sits, and are working on elevators.

with new cheerleaders that are new to stunting there is no better way than to just do it i do not think there is any good way to try and tell someone how to do it i think that stunting is something that the girls are just going to have to experiences and feel for themselves when i was a cheerleader and we were going to try a new stunt the coach had one stunt group practice at a time and all the other girls would gather around them so if anything went wrong with everyone gathered around someone would most likely catch the flyer me myself being a flyer it made me feel safer when trying a new stunt having everyone around me

Have you tried working one-legs at the thigh-stand level? Have a base get down on one knee facing front giving a nice flat surface with her other knee, and have the flyer step up from the side and balance on one leg (the leg closest to the base). Once the flyer is stable she can pull different one-leg stunts . . . libs, arabesques, scorpians, etc. This will prepare your girls for working one-legs at the elevator/half/prep level later, and when they are more experienced at the full level. Also try different entries and dismounts into the stunts. For example, have your flyer do a roundoff and rebound into a cradle position in the bases arms and then reload to go up to an elevator.
