Do you think that the companies should make flexible arranagements for employees

Hi A thought just came in my mind Do you think that women employees in big firms should be given flexible arrangemenst in terms of work, I was aked to work 4 days a week after my daughter was born,and when I was unable to agree I was asked to quit Has it happened with anyone else It was upsetting because I was with this firm was quite sometime and i had sacrificed so many outings etc for work but all was a waste If you had a similar experience please share
