Philippines. When foreigners hear the name of our country, they say we have the best beach resorts, the best history spots and others. I always want to travel other places, sadly, I am here in Manila studying. Can't even go out of town and explore other places. Please share the best place you have been here in the Philippines. It can be resorts, restaurants or any as long is that you think it is the best place in the Philippines. ^_^

Hi taki_takaishi, I visited Manila over 10 years ago. My impression on it was traffice jam. Moreover, I have been to Cebu. I was staying at the Merribargo Blue Water Bridge Resort. It was so good. It has its own beach. There are seapumpkins and starfish. We can swim from the beach of the hotel to a nearby small island. It was fun. Have a nice day! agonyaunt69 (11:10pm 17 Dec 2009, Hong Kong time)

I am sorry. The name of the resort should be "Merribargo Blue Water Beach Resort". Agonyaunt69

for beaches--you can go to Boracay, Cebu,Puerto galera, Bicol region, Bohol and many more. for historic spots--see rizal Shrine in Laguna, go to rizal park, Intramuros and the national Museum in Manila for shopping--we have lots of malls in the country for food- go to dampa, you could buy food in the market which you could ask restaurants around the area to cook. Also try, Gerry's grill, Dencios, and Cabalen

The best place I have been in the Philippines is El Nido, Palawan because when I went there I can't believe that there is a place in the Philippines which is as world-class in terms of nature spots as that place. The white sand beaches are superb so if you are a beach bum, this is truly the place for you. I have been to other places in the Philippines as well like Boracay, Bohol, Zamboanga and Ilocos and each place is wonderful and makes me proud to live in a very beautiful country like ours. However, undoubtedly, Palawan is truly the final frontier.

i've never been to a lot of places here in the country, but would one day really like to go a road trip from north all the way down to mindanao and back to north again. Saw a mapped road trip in a magazine and would save up for it and go to that trip with my partner. anyways, for me, its dos palmas in palawan. i don't know..somehow, since i have only been out of manila and been to baguio (then it was nice but now...no comment), boracay (same comment as above), and Bicol (at CWC in Camsur, best watersports here in the philippine, imo, yet) but still, nothing compares to my experience when we went to dos palmas and wnet scuba diving..nothing beats nature's beauty..was just hoping i had an underwater video camera to capture the moments there.
