"Nobody understands the silence of the things." - George Bacovia. What do you think George meant by this??? Whatever you think he meant by it, do you agree with what he was trying to interpret here?

Frankly speaking, i don't exact the meaning. Rather a philosophical quotation from Bacovia. But i think the metaphor Bacovia wanna enlighten us sth similiar with the "Sound of Silence" sung by Simon & Garfunkel. The turbulence of outer world with a superficial clam from the surface. But the Sturm und Drang of one's inner heart is still strong. Maybe i can only understand to this extent. I'm not major in literature or philosophy.

Hi j What piece is that from? If I could read the whole work I could better answer your question. Bacovia was wonderful, very deep. My very favorite piece is called December. If you don't know it, read it. If you could get back to me with the "silence" quote piece I would appreciate it. I'd like to read it. Thanks
