blackberry 8700 problem / myLot

I got a blackberry from abroad, orange was the carrier. it is now unlock. When i put my sim card in it, it is saying no service. When the radio is trying to turn on. It is saying time out. It is not connecting to the carrier in my country. I tried everything from wiping the system to resetting it. Nothing works CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO GET IT TO RECOGNIZE MY SERVICE PROVIDER!!!

That's a common problem. Most phones are blocked from using sim cards from other providers. Often you'll get an error message saying 'no sim' or wrong sim' or something like that. Take the phone to your provider and see if they can recode it to accept your sim card. Its also encouraged to get phones from your provider only, or from the website the phone comes from.
