I make sugar cookies from a recipe I got in a book of poems and short stories I have about Christmas. I got this book as a gift from my sister several years ago for Christmas. It's titled "An Old Fashioned Christmas". The cookies are of the old fashioned sort, too, and they are so good! The Poppy Seed Roll and Apple Pie sound good. Kathy.

The poppy seed roll is delicious. Its a recipe that my mom found years ago in the newspaper. My dad and I would work together making it when I was growing up. Now I have been making it every year and we all love it.

i USUALLY MAKE WHAT IS CALLED CHOCOLATE MAJESTY BUT HAVE DECIDED not to make it this year. I'm going to make a chocolate cake & pecan pies. I usually make chess squares & did make some for my neighbor but may not make them either. We had them thanksgiving so am doing something different.

I sure do and our favorite is Tiramisu cake. It is so rich and high in fat that I only make it during special occasion like Christmas.

Oh that is what my daughter and her husband love. In fact today at the store my daughter pointed one out to me and she couldn't believe how expensive the one cake was, especially because the size was not so big at all. I don't like it because its wet. I don't like soggy cake. Enjoy!

I like small and sweet tarts of any kind...i like them with nutty with lots of caramel...totally melts in my mouth...such a perfect treat especially this christmas season.
