There is always something to learn in my estimation. Are you still taking classes, even though you may have graduated or received a degree? What are you studying?

..Hi jasmeena, Great information. Good for you. Yes, it is as you say, learning should be continual. I hope to be studying something from now on until...Your brain needs stimulation, even crossword puzzles help your brain power. It as they say, if you don't use it, you will lose some part of it, and a little loss here and there adds up to a big loss eventually. Check out www.triond.com. Thanks so much for your input.

My husband and I are attending school. My husband is working towards his Bachelor's degree in Communications and Media and I am finishing my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education then I will pursue a Masters Degree in Education Psychology or Sociology. I too feel that learning never ends. I love learning and when I have children I want to teach them that education is important and that learning is an ongoing process.

...Hi randylovesdar, That is great, the two of you are interested in higher education and continual growth. I too am working toward a Communications Degree, I love words. Psychology is also an interest, mainly child psychology. Children are more pliable than adults, I think and perhaps therapy can make a difference while they are young. Good luck to both of you, as you pursue your goals. Thanks for your response. Take care.

Learning is a continuous process not necessarily by attending a school or college. There are countless avenues - even an ant can teach us something. That is my belief and I keep my senses open to devour anything that comes my way.

...Hi allknowing, Couldn't agree with you more, learning is a continuous thing, we learn through daily conversations. A friend of mine was telling me about her sister who lost her ability to speak. They heard her singing one day and thought, fantastic, she will talk now. But she still could not talk, only sing. The doctor told them that one part of the brain controled singing while another part controls our speaking ability. I never knew that. She did eventuall speak again. So there are things all around us, as you say, that are there for the learning. Take care, thanks for your comment. Be safe.

...Hi there Apple3Cranberry, It's not just formal education, like college which can help to educate ourselves in my opinion. I think in educating ourselves, we must be open to it. Willing to hear new things and learn more each day. You yourself know more this week, than you did last week, if you think about it. When we talk to other people even in casual conversation we learn things. That is a form of educating ourselves. For instance did you hear about the Blue Moon which was out on December 31, it shines brighter they say, than the regular moon. Someone posted about the Blue Moon. Thanks so much for your comment. I wanted to ask, if I could, what are you volunteerimg for? Thanks. May 2010 be good to you.

Hi there artistry, it's been a while since a last posted to your discussions. Anyway, yes! I am still taking classes even if i already graduated from college. I am continuing my education in a much higher degree, i am currently struggling to finish my Master of Arts in Education major in Development Education at a university in our country. Not only that, i am also studying different things and acquiring some knowledge on my own from Internets, other books and lots more to further educate my self bout things in this world even if it is related to my course.

....Hi there rjvb26, Nice to have your opinion again. Hope you are doing well and happy holidays. That is very impressive. I think that we should always try to learn more. There is so much in this world to learn, it is a fascinating place with amazing people all over. Not only formal education, but acquiring knowledge and wisdom from some people who might give us a little of their sage advice. I will try to learn as much as I can, for as long as I can. Learning and education keep our minds stimulated, as well as helping us to succeed in a very competitive world. Very good luck with your studies. Take care.

I have got a degree, but it's not enough. Learning from life and work grows me up. From last September, I participated in a German language class in weekends, hope to know not only the language but also the culture.

....Hi there rogue13xmen13, I am a person who beleives that as long as we are breathing we should be learning something and trying to grow. It gives us much more interesting lives. It also increases our worth if we are a part of the job market. Sometimes one can be over qualified, but I would rather be one who has, than one who does not have. So I wish you well in your quest. Good luck with your studies and thanks for responding.

I think learning is a continuous process, in fact life is a great teacher and you are a student, whether good or bad, all depends on how fast you learn from the lessons taught, and mistakes made in your life. However I am thinking to apply for interior designing course, this year but never know. But I'll always make sure to learn something or otherthing from everything possible.

..Hi mariah_5, You are my kind of person, there are so many things thst we learn all the time. A friend of mine was telling me about her sister who lost her ability to speak. She told me that one side of the brain controls our ability to speak and the other side controls our ability to sing. Her sister regained her ability to sing, but not at that time her ability to speak, that came back later. I never knew that, so that was my lesson for that day. On the school front I have neen interested in ceramics, I would still like to take a class, it would be fun. Go for that interior designing, colors and fabrics are interesting, designing things that can come to life would be a thrill. I am an artist of sorts so sketches, paper and colors interest me. Use your time for what you desire. It's already 2010 basically. Time moves on. My uncle who is gone now used to say "whatever you are going to do, you better do it". Time is an illusion, you look around and it isn't there. Take care. Thanks for your comment. By the way, welcome to the ranch, enjoy.

I have downloaded videos on how to speak Spanish and German.I would like to take classes once I have the money.I believe that in life, you shouldn't stop learning.learning should be done in all ages.learning isn't really dependent on age.I think learning is a great way to maintain a sharp mind.

...Hi my_name_is_coco, Thanks for responding. Good luck with learning the languages. I am one also who thinks that there is so much to learn, that we do ourselves a dis-service if we don't keep learning as we go a long. No matter what age we are, as long as you can read or listen, you should keep learning. As you say, it keeps your mind alert. I was made aware of this when I received a promotion on my job and had to take a class. I had not been studying for a while, and my first test score in the class was horrible. My teacher naturally was disappointed. I got into studying after that and did much better than that first test. It showed me that you have to keep your mind involved, at least I did. Take care.
