With paypal many places do not send out checks anymore, do you still deal with a lot of checks or do you mostly get your money from paypal, for me it is paypal. I rarely get checks for anything now.

I try not to deal with checks. Mainly because it takes forever to clear my bank. Now some of the programs that I do online sends me checks, which can be a pain since my bank is 3 states away from me. So it takes a few days of waiting for the check to clear and post to my account. I had other banks close to me, but had bad experiences so we went back to the first bank we had when we lived in Virginia. So in total, I get maybe 4 checks from the survey sites I do online. Now if I have to pay my taxes, I do money orders. That way the money has already been taken out of my account, and I don't have to wait for them to mail the check in. My parents still use and deal with checks, they don't even have debit cards from their banks. I honestly don't think they will get one either. I can't imagine life without having my debit card and having to use checks all the time.

Oh I had to do that all my life checks, and money orders, debit cards are fairly new here, maybe 15 years old or so. Here we have to not only use the closest bank we have to use the closest branch of the bank to where we live or work,

I have used a debit card maybe for 15 years now. Now I have a credit card that is attached to the bank, that's not an actual credit card. It makes things a lot easier in so many ways. Before I started paying my bills online through my bank, I did money orders. I got tired for a check to take more than 7 days to clear my bank. I have been looking around for a bank near me, just so I can cash or deposit a check when I get one through my programs. Also thank you for best response.

I hardly use checks. Though I was surprised a few weeks ago to find that Amazon does not accept paypal. I would think they would be a leader...as would Apple.

I get checks from Clixsense, and I use checks when paying the rent. I also write checks to my husband if I want him to grab me cash out of my account, if he happens to be going to the bank. I just write him a check and ask him to bring me back the money. LOL

I am the same way. I have one survey that I can paid by check. Doesn't happen too often and it is only a $10 check.

I have several I pay by check. I could have them taken out automatically each month but I don't like that. I tend to forget and become overdrawn. Just messes me up sometimes. So a check works great to alliviate that problem. My mind doesn't work as well as it used to. I can't sort things out like I used to.

I still get quite a few. I think we will see it all be checkless in the very near future.

We don't use checks much, does not matter its for getting from someone or giving to someone. Mostly we use Paypal or online money transfer to deal with money transaction.

I can't tell you the last time I wrote a check. My checking account came with a free debit card and I use that for everything. I don't carry cash and seldom use a true credit card..although I do carry one. Not long ago I stopped at a Dollar Store and that particular store did not accept debit or credit cards. I had to just leave without my purchases as I had no cash or checkbook with me!

The only checks I deal with are the few that I get from some of my online earning sites that still don't use paypal! Otherwise, I use paypal for almost all of the money that I earn online. My paycheck for my regular (non-internet) job is direct-deposited into my bank account, so I don't have to deal with those checks anymore. Overall, it has become kind of a hassle to deal with checks. I normally hardly ever have to go to the bank, and I like that.

For the most part if paypal is available I will choose that for my payment options but I know that there are still a few that still do checks through the mail and I am fine with that as well. I think that paypal just makes it a lot easier because you don't have to wait for the check to arrive through the mail and then run to get it cashed with paypal the money is able to be spent as soon as it hits your account which is nice....
