I think the one thing I couldn't live without has to be my Dr. Pepper. If I don't get to drink one after I wake up. I end up tired, cranky and get a head ache. Now I have went and got the generic version of it. So, now I can honestly do without the brand name and go with the store brands. I was raised on a farm with parents that didn't believe in buying everything a child wanted. They believed in the basics, and gave us what they thought was important which was food on the table, clothes on our backs, and shelter over our heads. So, I'm used to not having a lot. Weird my husband had more than me, but not as much more. Except the difference between us, he can't live without a lot of things. I find it funny sometimes when our tv messes up and he has a fit that our provider needs to fix it fast. Funny how men can act like little boys in less than a second.

It's even funnier to watch them get mad, when you don't understand why they are acting like little boys over something so small and simple. Also, thank you for best response.

When I am running short on cash, I cut out the movie rentals and snack treats like chips and juice..

But even though I may be short on cash some times and as I am sure other people are as well, we all something in common, even though the food might be short, or gas money or treat money or what have you..We all have a roof over our heads, and food in our stomachs, a lot of people do not have anything like this, so when you are running short of cash and it is making you feel cranky depressed or what have you, just remember all those people with nothing.. :-)

Right now we are going with out cable TV, and let me tell you that is a mess since this digital cra*p came on the air. We got into a bind back in August and I had them disconnect the cable, internet and house phone, as I have a cell. Being with out the cable has driven me nuts, but it was a decission that we had to make at the time. You can't have the electric shut off, or the water, so cable is the first to go around here. I about went nuts without the internet so got the wireless modem from the cell phone place, dear god give me back the cable internet. Staying at home and not running the roads also is something we do more of because of the price of gas. When you are on a fixed income sometimes it is impossible to have it all so something has to go.

I think one of the extras I could do most without is the snacks we have in the evenings sometimes. Also, the lattes I get I could do without afew less of them. I don't really do that much so any more 'less' would have to be like time on here and such. I wouldn't/couldn't do without that.

When I'm short on cash, I usually don't go shopping for clothes as much. I don't wear any makeup so I don't bother with that. I never ate out much so I don't have to worry too much about that either, unless it's just going out with friends occasionally. I would probably have to just cut back on electricity usage because I use the computer a lot and I stay up using it, so that takes up a lot of electricity. Also, I would probably cut back on eating a lot of food and buying unnecessary items in order to save money.

Well, I canceled my internet for a period of about eight months. Of course I don't do as much online work for income as you do. But when I would go to my parent's home I would get online and do the mylot, gather, and the survey thing. I really don't eat out much at all.
