Lady Gaga vs. Britney Spears

Who is the QUEEN of Pop?
To me it used to be Britney Spears. Don't get me wrong I still love her and I am still a fan of hers. But she was only a Princess of Pop. She had everything to qualify for a Queen back then including looks and good songs and personality. However she lost it recently and made a comeback which was strong with the circus album but lost it again because it wasn't strong enough and just didn't spark like when she did with "hit me baby one more time"
When Lady Gaga came out...WOW she was amazing! She was fun,creative,unique,freaky,weird,original,etc...and most of all she was good at what she does! She reminds me of Michael Jackson because he had all the qualities as Lady Gaga including PURE GENIUSNESS. Both of them are just pure geniuses with their songs! Lady Gaga ,to me, is obviously the princess and SOON TO BE QUEEN of Pop! =]

hi aaron,
I like them too! and i think they are both gifted in making great music. Britney Spears has been a favorite of mine for a long time and I like her style, music and charm. Although a lot of intrigues and gossips ruined her career a long the way still, she was able to rise and manage to come back "big time" this year. As we all know, Britney is a great dancer and I must admit that her vocal power is not that superb but it doesn't mean she can't conquer the music world. I think she is very charismatic and her charm with audience is undeniable.. plus, she makes music more edgy and hip. With Lady Gaga, I think she is now one of the best performer we have today. Her style and talent is very raw, fresh and unique. I haven't seen a performer like her, she sell/market her talent in a different way, one of which is with her outrageous style and fashion sense. Her vocals is very powerful and she write her own music and can play instruments too. I like her a lot. I can't pick one....I must go with both of them.

I couldn't agree with you more. I love Britney Spears and I hope she does well! She is an amazing person and she has showed and proven that to us with showcasing her talent.
YES! Lady Gaga is definitely someone fresh and unique. That is what attracted me in the first place. Because she is so unique...its different and it makes people want to see more. She is a great performer.
Yea this IS a bit of a difficult decision for me too. haha but if I had to choose one for the CURRENT TIME...it would have to be Lady Gaga just because she is some totally different and she brought many different things to the table.

Lady Gaga is making her way of becoming the best female solo performer/artist today. I like all of her songs and her music videos are fun to watch. I have seen her few live performances via youtube and I must say that, she is very talented. Have you heard her slow version of "Poker Face" (her playing the piano and singing the song in a different way, more soulful..) I love it so much! And her willingness to reach her dreams amazes me too...

Yes I did listen to her slower version of poker face! =] When she sings live, dude she GIVES IT ALL.She is amazing when she is live. Most performers are like...kinda bad ..haha gotta admit when they are live. But Lady Gaga was born to sing in front of crowds.

I think that Lady Gaga would be the Queen of Pop because she's so unique!! Her music stands out from the crowd, not to say that Britney Spears' doesn't, it's just that Lady Gaga has certain sound and style to her. That's just what I think. I mean, Britney is cool and all but I think in my opinion, it's gotta be Lady Gaga.

Britney could be the Queen when it was back in the days with her "Hit me baby one more time." BUT in the current time, it has to be Lady Gaga. Im not saying Britney Spears is not good. Im just saying that YES Lady Gaga DOES bring something fresh and original and so unique to the people. People including me want to see more of it! And YES she DOES have her own style. DEFINITELY. Thats what attracted my attention in the first place. Lady Gaga!

How is Lady GaGa a genius? She seems incredibly stupid and trivial to me. Her lyrics are stupid, her themes are the same in every song and she seems very arrogant. I do like several of her songs, but as a person I could punch her in the face.
I think as far as the topical title of "Queen of Pop" goes, Brittany Spears has been far, far, far more popular over her time than Lady GaGa has been so far.

I agree that Britney Spears was far more popular over her time but nowadays she has been sinking and Lady Gag seems to be taking over. Sure Britney Spears was good but it was back then.
