Indian Classical Music is based on Sur, Tal and Weather. It also cures some typical deseace like depression, stress and other mental related problems. Now, it has been recognised in all over the world. It is said that when Pt. Bhim sen sings, A cow starts giving more milk than before. Pt. Jasraj says that Indian Classical Music is more advance than Western Music.

I do agree to most of what you have to say. But i feel that it is not fair to compare western music to the hindustani classical music, as both have their own appeal and fan base and quality.

It really depends on the preferences of a person. I grew up in American and Filipino music so that is the music I know and understand. The only Indian song I like is Jaiho nothing moreand nothing less. All of us have a different taste of music.

I enjoy listening to all kinds of classical music. I keep a collection of CDs of classical music, Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Strauss, and thos of other countries and cultures too. I listen to classical music CDs every evening after I get back home from work. That is my favorite way of relaxation and getting rid of all the stresses of the day.
