how can I add a link in my profile?

I tried to add a link in my html sortie 3 times, but everytime I finish and click "save changes" everything I typed disappears.
What am I doing wrong?

Make sure the html is in tact. Nothing missing or broken. If you forget any part of the string the code won't properly show, or not show at all. When you hit save changes the changes don't often take effect until after you exit out of the edit mode. So make sure you're in view mode.
