i would be more than totally open to finding a mate from a different country. my dad met my mom in europe during the war and they married and came back to the states and were married for 50 years.i think i would choose a man from poland or germany because they are so respectful, and funloving and loyal. i had a few acqauintances from germany that came to the states for a couple of months for a job, they were awesome. men in the states, or i should say some, do not know the meaning of loyalty. the national divorce rate in europe is far lower than any country, except for india and i think the husbands are allowed to even kill their wives there if they see fit.it was on a documentary on pbs.anyway, i love foreign men!

Hi, thanks for response! Yes, I agree on your taste and preference. I don't know about Indians can legally kill their wife. I know some Indian people who have loving wife and harmonious family. I know that western countries always blame some Asian countries about people who are treated with injustice. Maybe the situation was exaggerated, when "human rights" became the concern. Anyway, German and Polish should be good option, and wish you good luck and get what you really like :)

If i were still single, it wouldn't matter where my man came from as long as we love each other truly then that is not a problem. But I do prefer marrying a man who came from my own country so that both of us will not be having a culture shock.

Yes, mostly people prefer getting the loving one from one's own country. It should be more secure. Just in case some people find their love overseas, then they would have to consider if they would take this "risk". Lots of issues in cross-country relationship. In the process of solving problems, the relationship got tested and strengthened. Good luck and wish you happy new year!

I don't think I would mind a guy from a different country. It's just I would worry about communication and customs. I mean, I don't really mind as long as it's not too difficult to commmunicate and get along with each other in terms of what we're use to doing in our countries. As long as we can come to an agreement, then I don't really mind. But if I can't really communicate with him and if our culture clashes, then I wouldn't want that particular person. I don't really have a preference though but I think overall, it would just be better to find a guy from the same country as me, which would be the US. I really don't mind a guy from another country, it's just I don't want any disagreements over the different customs or cultures to be the reason that we argue or anything.

I think people from US (like you) have an open mind and are more likely to build relationship. (My GF is from US, and currently she is in USA, you can refer to my comment to Response No. 1) English is now the international language, so communication shouldn't be a problem. But actually there are more important things than verbal communication. If they really love each other and find each other compatible, they will give help of learning the language and they won't waste time just complaining about the language problem. (Of course, It is better if there is no language barrier.) Surely we do't want any culture clash or conflict, but I also believe "love conquers all". I agree with you. Anyway it is easy in America to find people from different background, so maybe no need to find from overseas. Otherwise, traveling can be problematic. God bless America!

oh, Yes i know you have BF. Is he from another country? (no need to answer if it is a secret.) I think the most important is being with your loving one, the location is the secondary question. Good luck and wish you buy a nice house!
