In our country new year is highly regarded as a very important celebration. With new year, comes all kinds of superstitious beliefs that we believe would be helpful in the coming year.Filipinos do everything in order to make the incoming year a progressive year. As much as possible every filipino family celebrates the new years with lavish goods to set forth a better life in the coming year. Before midnight strikes on Dec.31 most filipino families attend mass. They have to be at home before the clock strikes twelve to celebrate and wait for the prosperous new year.Filipinos love to celebrate the new year with a lot of noise from firecrackers and other object that create loud sounds, this is the part of the new year that i hate because i never like firecrackers aside from the noise firecrackers create I hate the smokes rhat pollutes the environment. It has been always mentioned that people should prevent anything that has to do with pollution but when it is new year, everything seems to be going down in smoke in the big cities of the Philippines. I hope the time will come when filipinos will realize that new year is not about firecrackers and noise. I hope they will discover better ways to celebrate new year and avoid polluting the environment. Celebrating new year is part of the filipino tradition but it doesnt have to be a celebration full of firecrackers and noise. Perhaps if filipinos celebrate new year in a calmer way, perhaps it will be more exiting new yyear celebration for everybody without all those people hurt and others due to firecrackers. I just wanna know if FIRECRACKERS is also part of the celebration in your country???
